This is why I hate Christmas... commercialized madness and useless celebration.

Christmas
What is this holiday closing in on us? The jolly red man on the street corner ushering in change for those who need a hand. Its sad that we have to wait for one time a year to be kind to each other. We need an excuse to feel good about ourselves so we make that familiar plunk into the red bucket so we can say we've helped... helping would be giving half of what you spend on useless gifts on a blanket for the homeless... or giving a turkey to a family that is down on their luck. People complain because they didn't get the latest game or phone... what about those who didn't get anything?

Who's Job Is It?
This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Bow. Exit stage left.
This world surrounding
alarms are sounding
Smiling over tears
hiding all our fears
We are a hopeless race
worrying to save our face
Acting as everything is fine
Walking that thin line
Wearing masks to hide
what everyone tries to keep inside
This place is not what is was meant to be
but there will never be harmony

What are we saying anyway?
Currently, I have the joy of attending a speech class two nights out of my week. Though I find it hard to contain my excitement for getting in front of judgmental imbeciles I do take in a buzz by the ability to share my opinions for once. I'm not used to speaking out, as many of you know I'm a follower and a peace keeper, someone who 'goes with the flow'. Our first assignment was to create an informative speech to present. Feeling that I knew my topic well, I chose to describe the experience of customer service to everyone. Now, I got the nod and 'cute speech' comment from my teacher, which is great for the grade, but I am willing to bet no one REALLY paid attention.
Next on the list is writing something persuasive and I was thinking of touching the subject of feminism, but on the point of do they really make sense. Men and women are never going to be equal, plain and simple. No matter how hard women try to make themselves equals with men we really are not helping our cause. We may be more perceptive to some things making us better fit for certain jobs, but lets face it ladies we are different. We try to get ahead on the corporate ladder but eventually, our biological clock starts ticking down and we decide we need a baby.... then that puts a damper on our plans. After that, we're doomed. Studies show that women who spend more time at home are happier than those who spend a great deal of their time at work.
Now, I'm not trying to get a rise out of anyone but this is how I see this situation. Women feeling like they are so great is no better than a man being macho.

Mindless banter and apple sauce
Well, I'm at it again. That whole thinking thing that i do sometimes that never seems to amount to anything more than an instance of sadness. *heavy sigh* It's raining. I find it hard to not be sad when the sky seems so ready to cry with me. Anyway. I've started a new poem... who knows maybe it'll kick me back into writing again.
Slam the door
turn the key
switch the radio on
this ride's for me
no set schedule
no where to go
roll the window down
letting my hair blow
riding alone
completely free
music roaring

The happiest place on Earth?
It's pretty bad when the 'Happiest place on Earth' is the thing making you wish you didn't wake up each morning. This place has cost me some of my mental health. I was perfectly fine before coming here and I should have known better. Now I have four months to get this out of my system before I go home and be happy again. I truly hate this place with every fiber of my being. If I didn't have A+ credits to keep i'd be on my way home now. No one ever said life was easy. Well now it isn't even fun anymore.
By the way, to the parents that cuss at our characters when they won't turn around whlie walking to break just to take a picture with your 'special little princess'... I hate you all. I get that you think your child is numero uno fine. Well our characters have a schedule, and if we break to satisfy you everytime we dont come out on time which would create even more complaints! So just because you didn't want to wait in line like every other special child out there and didn't get a picture don't yell at us ok?!

Warning, sarcasm ahead.
Well hello there ma'am, thank you for invading my personal space, I'd love to take pictures of you and your family in front of a big ball... Of course I'll get the whole ball in the picture I've only shot this seventy times today alone. Yes I will take one with your camera as well, just in case I don't do well with mine. Oh and thank you for showing me how to use your simple digital camera, i've never seen one of these before and it looked quite confusing at first. I wasn't sure if you pushed the big silver button on top, or if technology had surpassed me again, but thank you for clearing that all up.
Now, on with the pictures! Yes, you look fine. I'm sorry, I dont know any tricks that will take ten pounds off. Secretly i'm feeling sorry for your poor children, they look tired, but your yelling at them to smile like they haven't just walked an entire park in a few hours. But I'm just going to smile and go along until you're ready. Everyone posed?
Right then, I'll snap just a few pictures here... oh no, your two year old won't keep looking at the camera. Thats a great idea, lets hold their head in place. Just a few more... great. Those pictures will be pure magic. hats that? Oh, you'd like pictures of each child seperately? Sure! I'm getting paid either way... and the seperate familys as well? Not a problem. You'll just have twenty seven pictures from this one area. Hope thats not a problem for you, but i'd be willing to bet you're going for a picture cd... mhm. I thought so.
Let me just take a few more then, add a couple magic shots with a favorite character or two... oh yes, and we can't forget the cutesy ones. Thank you ma'am, I hope you have a magical day here at the park. Now please walk away so I can remove this stupid smile plastered to my face, It's beginning to hurt...

This is just a Test!
thanks to http://penn.betatesters.com/wisdom03.htm for the list
Life is a test. It is only a test. If it had been real, you would have been told where to go and what to do.
No, seriously, here are some useful
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIFEI suspect you will be surprised at how well you're doing already.
01. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
02. Memorize your favorite poem.
03. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have, or sleep all you want.
04. When you say, "I love you", mean it.
05. When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.
06. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
07. Believe in love at first sight.
08. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
09. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
10. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
11. Don't judge people by their relatives.
12. Talk slowly but think quickly.
13. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"
14. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

20. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
21. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
22. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

Get Over It
I've recently fallen for a song by OK GO called Get Over It.
Lot of knots, lot of snags, lot of holes, lot of cracks lot of crags. Lot of naggin' old hags, lot of fools, lot of fool scum bags.Oh it's such a drag, what a chore... oh your wounds are full of salt.Everything's a stress and what's more, well it's all somebody's fault.
Hey! Get over it!
Makes you sick, makes you ill, makes you cheat, slipping change from the till.Had it up to the gills... makes you cry whilethe milk still spills. Ain't it just a bitch? What a pain...Well it's all a crying shame. Whatleft to do but complain? Better find someone to blame.
Hey! Get over it!
Got a job, got a life, got a four-door and a faithless wife.Got those nice copper pipes, got an ex, got a room for the night.Aren't you such a catch? What a prize! Got a body like a battleaxe... Love that perfect frown, honest eyes...We ought to buy you a Cadillac.

The Future
I've been doing a lot of thinking about the future lately. I credit this to everyone around me talking about college and their majors and such. Until recently I thought I'd had everything planned out. However that seems to have dissipated. I had assumed at a young age that I was going to travel around Europe, but then I also figured I would never find a person that I related with as much as I have. This change I have accepted gratefully as I have never felt this way before and it's overwhelming in an exciting way. I don't know what I would do without having his support and I thank him for that.
As for schooling, I don't even know what I want to do anymore. I thought I would be majoring in Graphic design however being here in Disney and working as a photopass photographer has brought a new light to photography for me. I've discovered I enjoy making people laugh and capturing moments for them to keep. If there was any guarantee of being successful in photography I'd jump right into it from here. But I am worried for my success. I don't know where I want to be, and the fact of being unsure makes me nervous. I thought that at this point in my life I would know what direction I want to go but I don't.

Truth
I'm a blogging noob. So I'll probably start things off a little slow. In case the header of my blog does not give it away, I'm a very... very sarcastic person. I am currently a resident in the boot camp of a college internship working for Disney. Being that they don't take as kindly to sarcasm as my hometown, it will all be channeled here.... yay! I'll probably be writing quite a bit about being in Florida because its one of the biggest things going on in my life right now... I don't think I could handle anything bigger truthfully, this could just kill me. Unless my throat does first.
